1. Go to any campaign dashboard
2. Select Appeals
3. Complete each field 
4. Select Add
5. Select appeal owners that you want to notify
6. Select 'Send a notification email to the selected Appeal Managers'
7. Edit the email message to suit your needs and send (In the default letter to appeal owners, there is a link to our support site page for Appeal Owners where they can learn more about appeals.).

What is the difference between an appeal and grassroots fundraiser?

Campaign appeals and grassroots fundraisers are similar; they both provide a fundraising page for an individual or small group.  The main difference is that appeals are usually assigned by the organization account administrator to someone very close to the organization - like a board member or class parents at a school; while grassroots fundraisers are created by any supporter of the organization. Appeals can be and often are created and managed by the organization's account administrator on behalf of the appeal owner.
